As part of Nurses In Charge Inc. (NIC) dedication to advancing nursing education, recognition, and professional development, we embarked on a groundbreaking project, NICTOUR Africa in 2024 and started in Liberia, West Africa.
Discovering the legacy and impact of nursing and midwifery in Liberia. This project marks the launch of a historical exploration across the African continent, with the vision of documenting this profession's unique evolution and contributions in each nation.
The NICTOUR documentary captured the voices and history of Liberia's Nurses and Midwives - those who have served through profound changes in healthcare and contributed to their communities with resilience and compassion. This documentary highlighted the work of Nurses and Midwives across Liberia, examining how their roles have evolved through the years. We covered hospitals, colleges and universities, and community clinics, sharing stories that are both impactful and inspiring.
