Dr. Nyempu M. Karmue-Hall, DNP, FNP, RN, CNA is the Founder and President of Nurses In Charge (NIC) Global, a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting, celebrating, and empowering nurses, midwives, and healthcare professionals worldwide.
Born in Liberia, Dr. Karmue-Hall's passion for nursing was inspired by her parents. Her mother faithfully served as a nurse and midwife, while her father later worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the United States to help support her education and the family's future. Their sacrifice, resilience, and unwavering commitment to caring for others became the foundation of her own calling.
As an immigrant to the United States, Dr. Karmue-Hall began her healthcare journey as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Through faith, perseverance, and a lifelong commitment to learning, she advanced her career to become a Family Nurse Practitioner, educator, researcher, and global healthcare leader with more than 26 years of experience.
She is a devoted wife to her husband, Adolphus Hall, and a grateful mother of four beautiful daughters, who continue to inspire her commitment to faith, family, and service.
During a season of burnout and deep soul-searching, Dr. Karmue-Hall found renewed clarity and purpose through Jeremiah 29:11, a scripture that reminded her of God's plans for hope and a future. This pivotal moment strengthened her faith and reaffirmed her calling to serve others through nursing and leadership.
Dr. Karmue-Hall believes she has found her God-given purpose in serving nurses and midwives around the world. Through NIC, she is dedicated to educating future generations of healthcare professionals, developing servant leaders, advancing nursing research, fostering global partnerships, and organizing medical mission teams that bring compassionate healthcare to underserved communities across the world.
Her life is guided by the conviction that when healthcare professionals are connected, celebrated, and empowered, they become catalysts for transforming lives, strengthening communities, and advancing healthcare for generations to come.
